I think it is actually something great and cool specially for downhill because it would be easier safer and faster to stop with this brake, and It has a lot of pros like if you aren't the best skater it won't matter it would actually be easier for you. or something that I think is the best about the product is that you won't need to use your wheels to stop so that means that your wheels would last longer.
So yeah I will say that it is a pretty good idea to buy the brake.
